Common soft tissue surgical procedures include:
- spay and neuter,
- Abdominal and thoracic surgery (bladder, stomach liver and intestinal tract surgery, biopsy, spleen and oncologist surgery, lung, upper respiratory tract etc)
- Skin defects, injuries and growths/tumor surgery
- Eye and ear surgery
- Oral surgery
- Emergency procedures (Bloat, spleen tumors,etc)
2. Orthopedic surgery
Orthopedic surgical procedures are often performed to treat congenital or traumatic injuries of a dog or cat’s bones, joints or spine.
Dr. Shmueli is trained and experienced in various veterinary advanced orthopedic techniques to effectively treat a wide range of musculus- skeletal conditions in pets. For Cruciate ligament tears, he utilizes Lateral fabellar imbrication technique, TTA and TPLO (which is a cutting edge surgical techniques), both are very effective. Patella (knee cap) surgery for treatment of patellar luxation, and FHNO which effectively reduces hip pain from dysplasia or traumatic hip injury.
Dr Shmueli also performs arthrodesis, external and internal fixations of fractures using IMEX
external fixators, interlocking nail fixation as well as orthopedic plates and screws, for bone fracture repair.
The wide selection of orthopedic implants allow us to choose the best technique for each individual.
